Add a new printer to your app
When you open up the Robo app, the first screen that will appear is the dashboard. Consider this your home screen where you can add, monitor and access all of your connected printers.
To add a printer, first make sure your printer and your phone are on the same network. By default, your printer will be in hotspot mode. The hotspot password is the same as the printer name. If your printer is already connected to Wi-Fi, simply add your phone to that same network.
On the dashboard, tap ‘Add a Printer' to start the wizard which will take you through the setup.
First, scan for printers by tapping 'Detect Printers.' This will bring up another screen with a list of all the available printers on your network. Choose your printer to automatically fill its name into the text field.
Then, you will need to scan the API QR code for your printer. Go to your printer touchscreen and navigate to Utilities > Network > API QR Code.
Go back to the Robo app and select 'Scan' to use your phone's camera to detect the API key.
The next section is to set up the printer's internal camera. If you have a C2, you can skip this part.
If you have an R2 and would like the ability to remotely monitor your prints via the camera, select 'Scan' to allow the app to find the camera.
The last step is to find the printer profile, which the app will do automatically. If you would like to view the details of the printer profile, you can do this later from the printer settings.
Once all these steps are complete, you will be taken to the dashboard screen and you will see your printer's name, ready to go!
Manage multiple printers
If you have multiple printers on the same network, you can manage them from the dashboard.
To add additional printers, select 'Add a Printer' and follow the same set up procedure.
All added printers will display in the list on your dashboard.
If you ever want to delete a printer from your dashboard, swipe left on the printer name and you'll see the 'Delete' button. There is also an 'Edit' button to give you quick access to the printer settings, where you can edit your printer's display name or change the wi-fi network.
