To replace the Main Board of your Robo E4 Pro:
You will need a 2.5mm Allen wrench, a #2 Phillip's head screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, and optionally markers to indicate which wire is which.
Expect this process to take about 30 minutes.
- Unplug your printer and set it upside down.
- Use the large Allen wrench to remove the two screws on the bottom near the handles and loosen the other 5.
- Tilt the bottom panel out of the way.
- Carefully take photos and label all wires on the mainboard.
- Detach all wires, being careful to only pull on the plastic, not the wires themselves. See video for instructions on removing the ribbon cable and other specialty wires.
- Remove the board by unscrewing the six screws using the Allen wrench.
- Reassemble with the new board.
