E4 Pro: My print isn’t sticking to the build plate.

First, make sure your temperature settings match the filament you are using. Different brands of filament and different types of filament have different requirements for extruder and build plate temperatures.
If your print settings match your filament, it likely means you need to recalibrate your printer. A print won’t stick if the extruder is too far from the build plate. Cancel the print, clear off what has already started, and then go into Tools/Calibration. Run through Z-Axis Calibration and then Sensor Calibration. If you’ve recalibrated your printer and it still isn’t sticking, you can try adding an extra adhesive such as wide painter’s tape or applying a glue stick to the build plate prior to printing. You may also want to add a raft to your print in the print settings and slow your print speed way down, especially on the first layer to improve adhesion. If it is still not sticking, you can also try using sandpaper to rough up the build surface a bit. Over time, the oils from our hands build up on the build plate and reduce adhesion.
