For this process, you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver, multiple sizes of Allen wrenches, regular pliers, needle-nose pliers, and a very small flathead screwdriver like you might find in a glasses repair kit.
Overview:
Unload filament & power off.
Remove extruder housing cover.
Remove the red heat shield from the bottom.
Disconnect the three wires coming from the extruder assembly. (1 blue, 2 white)
Release the set screw located just below the extruder circuit board.
Carefully remove the extruder assembly.
Reassemble.
