Multi-Color printing can take your 3D prints to the next level!
You can change color at any layer manually while printing on a Robo 3D printer by pausing and going in to the filament change option. You can also use RoboPrint to have your printer automatically pause at exactly the right layer every time so that you don't have to be paying attention to your printer. This video walks you through how to set that up.
- Download RoboPrint from https://robo3d.com/pages/desktop-software
- Select your printer type and bring in your chosen file.
- Click Start Slicing.
- Slice your file.
- Along the bottom of your preview, use the scroll bar to determine at which layer(s) you want the machine to pause. We recommend adding one extra buffer layer to make sure it doesn't change too early.
- Go back into Slicing and enter "Expert Mode."
- Under "Others" look at Pause at Layer and use the + sign to add pauses at your selected layers.
- Re-Slice and you're good to go!
